Trust Me On This
Jennifer Crusie
2010

Dennie Banks is an investigative reporter chasing down the biggest story of her career. Alec Prentice is a government agent working undercover to catch an elusive grifter. When they meet by accident, it’s a case of mistaken identities at first sight. What they don’t mistake is the instant attraction they have for each other, an attraction they’ll do everything in their power to resist—because Dennie thinks that Alec is running interference for her interview subject, and Alec suspects that Dennie is linked to his swindler. As the confusion grows, so do their feelings for each other, and what begins as a romantic comedy of errors may just end in the love affair of a lifetime.

Pleasures Untold

Pleasures Untold
Lisa Sanchez
2011

Hell hath no fury like a witch done wrong. Pissed off and packing an arsenal of witchy mojo, Martha is on the warpath. Determined to avenge the murder of her mother and grandmother, her mission is simple: kill every vampire, demon and underworld bastard she comes across, because one of those hell beasts might be the monster that stole her childhood from her. But when a sexy Latin vamp literally falls from the sky, saving her from becoming an undead Happy Meal, she has no choice but to reassess everything she thinks she knows.

Xan is an anomaly --a vampire born, not turned. A powerful warlock who walks in daylight, Xan spends his days, and nights, watching over Martha, protecting her from Lucian, the blood-sucking monstrosity whose sole mission in death is to drain her dry. Undeniable attraction and the promise of pleasures untold draw the two lovers into a frustrating dance of one step forward, two steps back. When Lucian throws down a deadly ultimatum, Martha is forced to choose between relying on her own mystical woo woo to save the lives of her stolen friends or succumbing to the lure of dark, voodoo magic. Xan and Martha must work together to save those closest to her and put an end to Lucian's reign of terror before it's too late.

Whoa! Damn! This book gets 5 stars all the way! I loved it! Just like Eve of Samhain, a wonderful read from start to finish.
If anyone wants a fantastic read, then you should seriously check out Lisa Sanchez's books.
BTW: Martha, I am super jealous of you!

Anna and the French Kiss

Anna and the French Kiss
Stephanie Perkins
2010

Anna is looking forward to her senior year in Atlanta, where she has a great job, a loyal best friend, and a crush on the verge of becoming more. Which is why she is less than thrilled about being shipped off to boarding school in Paris—until she meets Étienne St. Claire: perfect, Parisian (and English and American, which makes for a swoon-worthy accent), and utterly irresistible. The only problem is that he's taken, and Anna might be, too, if anything comes of her almost-relationship back home.

As winter melts into spring, will a year of romantic near-misses end with the French kiss Anna—and readers—have long awaited?

-Hayz's Review-

Oh! So! Cute! I couldn't get enough of this book! At times St. Claire made me so mad! But then I just melted at him. Don't we all know a guy like that? Where his accent melts us, same with his smile and the way he looks at you with the cocked eyebrow.

But this book totally deserves 5 stars! I loved it from the moment I met St. Claire :)

Trapped

Trapped
Michael Northrop
2011

The day the blizzard started, no one knew that it was going to keep snowing for a week. That for those in its path, it would become not just a matter of keeping warm, but of staying alive....

Scotty and his friends Pete and Jason are among the last seven kids at their high school waiting to get picked up that day, and they soon realize that no one is coming for them. Still, it doesn't seem so bad to spend the night at school, especially when distractingly hot Krista and Julie are sleeping just down the hall. But then the power goes out, then the heat. The pipes freeze, and the roof shudders. As the days add up, the snow piles higher, and the empty halls grow colder and darker, the mounting pressure forces a devastating decision....

-Hayz's Review-

Oh my... Ok this book could have been a very good book. But unfortunately it wasn't. First the author got way descriptive in parts I didn't want to know. And the end? Um wtf? It was awful!!!! Spoilers if you continue reading. I mean the friend just died? First that is awful it was like what 2 paragraphs? The his ending? What happened to the rest of the kids.

I also felt like he just wanted to keep skipping to the end. Really? Sorry I just didn't like this book.
