Queste

Queste
Angie Sage
2008

There's trouble at the Castle, and it's all because Merrin Meredith has returned with Darke plans for Septimus. More trouble awaits Septimus and Jenna in the form of Tertius Fume, the ghost of the very first Chief Hermetic Scribe, who is determined to send Septimus on a deadly Queste. But Septimus and Jenna have other plans--they are headed for the mysterious House of Foryx, a place where all Time meets and the place where they fervently hope they will be able to find Nicko and Snorri, who were trapped back in time in PHYSIK. But how will Septimus escape the Queste?

-Hayz's Review-
Okay, now I have a problem. I don't know which book is my favorite Queste or Physik. Help me! They are both really good and I loved them! I'm dying to read the 5th one!

When Silas Heap unSeals a forgotten room in the Palace, he releases the ghost of a Queen who lived five hundred years earlier. Queen Etheldredda is as awful in death as she was in life, and she's still up to no good. Her diabolical plan to give herself everlasting life requires Jenna's compliance, Septimus's disappearance, and the talents of her son, Marcellus Pye, a famous Alchemist and Physician, And if Queen Etheldredda's plot involves Jenna and Septimus, then it will surely involve Nicko, Alther Mella, Marcia Overstrand, Beetle, Stanley, Sarah, Silas, Spit Fyre, Aunt Zelda, and all of the other wacky, wonderful characters that made MAGYK and FLYTE so memorable.

-Hayz's Review-
So far this is the best one! Omg! Seriously by far my favorite, I give it 5 stars because I love it! I couldn't put it down! I was like glued to the book, thats how good it was. I so can't wait for the 4th!

The Plight of the Darcy Brothers

The Plight of the Darcy Brothers
Marsha Altman
2009

Once again, it falls to Mr. Darcy to prevent a dreadful scandal in the Bennet family

Darcy and Elizabeth set off posthaste for the Continent in yet another attempt to clear one of the Bennet sister's reputations. But their madcap journey leads them to discover that the Darcy family has even deeper, darker secrets to hide...
Meanwhile, back at Pemberley, the hapless Bingleys try to manage two unruly toddlers; Caroline Bingley's husband has wild encounters with King George himself; and the ever-dastardly George Wickham arrives, determined to seize the Darcy fortune once and for all.
Full of surprises, this lively Pride and Prejudice sequel plunges the Darcys and the Bingleys into a most delightful adventure.

-Hayz's Review-
If you like Pride and Prejudice and love the story then you should read The Darcys and the Bingleys, the first of the series. The thing I like about these books it that it is impossible to get bored while reading it, because something is always happening. This book surprised me...twice! I so wasn't expecting what happened, don't get me wrong, it made for an interesting story. I so can't wait for the next one in the series! Lets just say, that I am super jealous of Elizabeth Bennet...oops I mean Darcy!

The Darcys & the Bingleys

2008

A tale of two gentlemen's marriages to two most devoted sisters.

Three days before their double wedding, Charles Bingley is desperate to have a word with his dear friend Fitzwilliam Darcy, seeking advice of a most delicate nature. Bingley is shocked when Darcy gives him a copy of The Kama Sutra--but it does tell him everything he needs to know.

Eventually, of course, Jane finds this remarkable volume and in utmost secrecy shows it to her dear sister Elizabeth, who goes searching for a copy in the Pemberley library...

By turns hilarious and sweet, The Darcys & the Bingleys follows the two couples and the cast of characters surrounding them. Miss Caroline Bingley, it turns out, has such good reasons for being the way she is that the reader can't help but hold her in charity. Delightfully, she makes a most eligible match, and in spite of Darcy's abhorrence of being asked fro advice, he and Bingley have a most enduring and adventure-prone friendship.

-Hayz's Review-
This is without a doubt the cutest and funniest Pride and Prejudice continuation ever! It is so funny! I was laughing my head off from the very beginning, Marsha Altman did an excellent job of writing this story!

Pride and Prejudice

Pride and Prejudice
Jane Austen
1813

"It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune must be in want of a wife." Thus memorably begins Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice, one of the world's most popular novels. Clever and precocious, Austen began Pride and Prejudice when she was only twenty-one years old. From the initial friction between the opinionated Elizabeth Bennet and the arrogant, wealthy Mr. Darcy, this witty comedy of manners dips and turns through its interlocking plots to reach an immensely satisfying conclusion.
Filled with highly entertaining dialogue, Pride and Prejudice is, in the words of Eudora Welty, as "irresistible and as nearly flawless a any fiction could be."

-Hayz's Review-
This is truly a classic. If you know the story but haven't read the book then that is sad. This book is a hard read since it was written in the 1800s. It took me almost 3 months to read, granted I had other things to read, but still. This book has so much more in it then the movies put in it!

Special Cirumstances

TALLY THOUGHT THEY WERE A RUMOR, but now she's one of them. A Special. A super-amped fighting machine, engineered to keep the uglies down and the pretties stupid.

But maybe being perfectly programmed with strength and focus isn't better than anything she's ever known. Tally still has memories of something else.

But it's easy for her to tune that out--until she's offered a chance to stamp out the rebel of the New Smoke permanently. It all comes down to one last choice: listen to that tiny, faint heartbeat, or carry out the mission she's programmed to complete. Either way, Tally's world will never be the same.

-Hayz's Review-
I didn't really like this book, I couldn't get into it at all. I don't know why either, because I enjoyed the first one enough to read the second. And I liked the second one better than the first.

Gorgeous. Popular. Perfect. Perfectly wrong.

TALLY HAS FINALLY BECOME PRETTY.
Now her looks are beyond perfect, her clothes are awesome, her boyfriend is totally hot, and she's completely popular. It's everything she's ever wanted.

But beneath all the fun--the nonstop parties, the high-tech luxury, the total freedom--is a nagging sense that something's wrong. Something important. Then a message from Tally's ugly past arrives. Reading it, Tally remembers what's wrong with pretty life, and the fun stops cold.

Now she has to choose between fighting to forget what she knows and fighting to forget what she knows and fighting for her life--because the authorities don't intend to let anyone with this information survive.

-Hayz's Review-
I really liked this book, much better than the first one. I liked how it just jumped right in, unlike how in the first one it took a while to actually get into it. I would definitely suggest this if you read the first one and liked it. Or if you just thought the first one was okay, I think you might like this one better.

Everybody gets to be supermodel gorgeous. What could be wrong with that?

Tally is about to turn sixteen, and she can't wait. Not for her license--for turning pretty. In Tally's world you sixteenth birthday brings an operation that turns you from a repellent ugly into a stunningly attractive pretty and catapults you into a high-tech paradise where your only job is to have a really great time. In just a few weeks Tally will be there.

But Tally's new friend Shay isn't sure she wants to be pretty. She'd rather risk life on the outside. When Shay runs away, Tally learns about a whole new side of the pretty world--and it isn't very pretty. The authorities offer Tally the worst choice she can imagine: finder her friend and turn her in, or never turn pretty at all. The choice Tally makes changes her world forever.

-Hayz's Review-
I really liked this book because I haven't ever read anything like. I thought it was interesting. I would suggest this book because I thought it was a good read, not hard at all.

The Gallagher Academy for Exceptional Young Women is a fairly typical all-girls school--that is, it would be if every school taught advanced martial arts in PE and the latest in chemical warfare in science, and students received extra credit for breaking CIA codes in computer class. The Gallagher Academy might claim to be a school for geniuses, but it's really a school for spies.
Cammie Morgan is a second-generation Gallagher Girl, and by her sophomore year she's already fluent in fourteen languages and capable of killing a man in seven different ways (one of which involves a piece of uncooked spaghetti). But the only thing the Gallagher Academy hasn't prepared her for is what to do when she falls for a boy who thinks she's an ordinary girl.
Sure, she can tap his phone, hack into his computer, and track him through town without his ever being the wiser--but can she have a relationship with a regular boy who can never know the truth about her?
Cammie may be an elite spy-in-training, but in her sophomore year, she's beginning her most dangerous mission--falling in love.

-Hayz's Reviews-
I liked this book, it was cute, cute enough to read the next ones in the series. If there is a down to this book it would definitely be the title. I mean seriously, the title is longer than the book itself. This was a good book, but not one I would read again.

Carzz's Review
Pretty good book, followed by a pretty good series. I've never read a book about a secret spy school, or about spies for that matter. And, I must say, it wasn't that bad (Hayz might think I'm lying, I basically destroyed her book... on accident). Other then that, the one thing I hated about the book, was the title. I mean, how long does a book title have to be???
Other then my passonate dislike of the title, i would recommend this book to a good amount of people. Easy read, cute story line, good ending... What isn't to like? (Except the title??)

Cammie and Macey soon find themselves trapped in a kidnappers' plot, with only their espionage skills to save them.
As her junior year begins, Cammie can't shake the memory of what happened in Boston, and even the Gallagher Academy for Exceptional Young Women doesn't feel like the safe haven it once did. Shocking secrets and old flames seem to lurk around every one of the mansion's corners as Cammie and her friends struggle to answer the questions Who is after Macey? And how can the Gallagher Girls keep her safe?
Soon Cammie is joining Bex and Liz as Macey's private security team on the campaign trail. The girls must use their spy training at every turn as the stakes are raised, and Cammie gets closer and closer to the shocking truth...

-Hayz's Reviews-
This was a good but, if you have read this then you have probably read the other two in the series. Where this book was really good, I much preferred the second one, Cross My Heart and Hope To Spy. It seemed like it took forever for Zach to enter the book, and by the time he did, it ended. I like how Ally Carter left it so there will be another book in the series.

Very interesting series. I'm sure y'all know what I'm talking about, since you've probably read the other two, but still. I really enjoyed this book, and it didn't even have vampires!!!
What I really enjoyed in this book was the surprising twist involving Zach. This book deserves a thumbs up!
